Worldwide Issues

I know that sounds vague, but it’s basically an acknowledgement that there are lots of global things going on that don’t fit neatly into any of the categories above. Here’s where you’d put things like the environment, human trafficking, whether democracy should be spread worldwide, natural disasters, peace movements, weapons of mass destruction, etc.

  1. I had already read Mountains Beyond Mountains, and will be sure to write about that at some point during the year…will do some investigation to identify for myself (& others) potential choices.

    Will be looking, among other categories, for food/gardening books, along the lines of Michael Pollan’s call to eat in ways that are good for the planet…

  2. I finished reading Eric Schlosser’s Fast Food Nation, here’s the review:

    I thought about where to categorize it, and because the book has a lot to do with the environment and terrible human labor conditions, I thought it fit here. I’m looking forward to see what others are reading. =)
